POWER OF UNITY

It is commonly accepted that there is power in unity. “United we stand, divided we fall.” Two horses pull way more than what they can each pull on their own. “A rope made of three cords is hard to break.” No a man can survive as an island.
But sadly we are yet to discover and understand why we were asked to multiply (by God almighty), why we are a community, why we are a nation. We often want to go our separate ways and try to exist alone (which was not part of the original plan) and we hardly succeed with that. Because a drop of “water does not make an empty tank full”, “a single tree cannot make a forest”, a stick of broom may be able to remove cobweb from a tiny hole but will never be able to sweep a room clean. We need each other if we must progress further unity and oneness
can break any barrier this can be seen in the bible reported a case of truly united people who achieved everuthing the wanted to because of their unity and oneness, it it was only God who could stop them Genesis 11:6 “when God saw them,(in the shinanithes) He said this people had one language, and few words therefore nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them”.
They had ONE language which shows that they communicated one with another, and fully understood themselves but most importantly they understood the importance of unity, they decided to build a tower high up to the heavens, if not for God they would have succeeded.
More so let’s look this tiny creatures called ants, an ant can carry 20 times its body weight, it can travel many miles (without car), work tirelessly for its colony, an ant has two stomach one for storing its own food and one for storing food for another ant. An ant does not go to war or fight alone, they always go to war as a colony. The life span of an ant is just about 45 to 60 days but what they can achieve within this period is tremendous. Do you know that every single ant has a role to play in the colony? They understand that they are a tiny unit of a bigger thing. They are the most organized and tidy creatures, always dispatching their duties with all amount of dedication and orderliness. Little wonder why the wisest king
who ever lived instructed us to go to the ants and learn from them
Therefore if as humans, supposed most endowed creature and ruler over all other creatures, regress in a bid to address our problems decide to learn from this tiny other creatures maybe we will be able to incorporate their patterns with ours and possibly improve them for the good of our people and other generations unborn will be told our stories, like we were told that of the shinanithes. May God help us as we try
